| ABOUT WAVE OF HOPE |
Wave of Hope is a student-run, non-profit Organization, established for the solitary purpose of rebuilding schools and houses in Sri Lanka that were affected by the devastating Tsunami. |
| ABOUT THE AUCTION |
The Tsunami-Relief Silent Auction is Wave of Hope's fourth major fundraising activity to meet the goal of raising $20,000 by the end of June, 2005. The efforts by students are 100% voluntary and 100% of the proceeds is directed to the construction of houses and schools through a partnership with a non-profit organization in Sri Lanka. | AUCTION PROCEDURE |
- The auction will be held from May 20 through May 27 at midnight.
- The bidder can select the desired item, fill out the necessary information on the bidding page and submit his bid amount by clicking the “Place Bid” button.
- If the bidder wishes to increase the bid, he/she can repeat the bidding process at any point in time between the above dates with a higher bidding amount.
- The top-ten bidders for each item will be contacted via email with 3 days left to go in the auction, notifying them of their proximity to own the selected memorabilia.
- The minimum bid for each item is US $100.00 (this minimum was chosen to ensure that costs are covered and a minimum return on the fundraising-action is ensured); higher bids should be in incremental of US $20.00.
- The highest bidder for each item and thus winner of the silent auction will be announced on the May 29th 2005.

| THE HIGHEST BIDDER FOR EACH ITEM WILL RECEIVE THE FOLLOWING |
- Autographed football/basketball from the current Division 1 Maryland Intercollegiate team
- A certificate of appreciation from the founders of the Wave of Hope Organization
- With some delay, a letter of appreciation from the recipients of the funds in Sri Lanka (100% of the funds raised by the auctions will be used to finance houses for Sri Lankan families)
