Tsunami Relief Car-Wash in the Greater Washington

Our first fundraising event was organized on the 02 nd of January, 2005 in Aspen Hill , Maryland . Despite organizing the event within 24 hours in challenging 40F weather, the event became a major success as it produced results above and beyond our expectations. Within six hours of relentless efforts from more than thirty volunteers, we were able to wash more than 100 vehicles and raise a whopping $3200 from the event.

“I helped the Tsunami Victims in Sri Lanka ” stickers

Ecstatic by the results from the fundraising carwash, we decided to take a few steps forward to maximize the effects of our campaign by organizing additional fundraising events. Mixing our classroom learning skills together with our entrepreneurial abilities, we decided to invest part of the money raised from the carwash to produce an awareness sticker naming “I helped the Tsunami Victims in Sri Lanka ”. The stickers are printed in color with suitable graphics, and are sold at $1 each. A picture of the sticker is presented on the right of this box.

“Tsunami Aid * Sri Lanka ”
Armstrong style wristbands

Since the heat of the highly demanded “Live Strong Wristbands” is still on, we decided to use the same concept for the Tsunami fundraising project. We have produced 2500 “Tsunami Aid * Sri Lanka ” wristbands in four attractive colors. We encourage people to buy the band for a minimum of $5 and proudly wear it to convey the message to others about their contribution towards the Tsunami relief efforts.
